MALACCA BEACH-2Look at the background, note there are about six KEADILAN
flags planted there. Keadilan is a local political party here.
The flags are furiously fighting the beach's non-stop wind. What
a sight to watch! Who are the genius planting it so securely there?
My elder son Sean Lon and I. Sean Lon is a self taught musician,
plays the quitar, beat boxs and flutes too. He's the only one in my family who's
musically-inclined. Brilliant, man!
CHENG HO MUSEUMAdmiral CHENG HO, I am Cheng Ho the small, the
security guard reporting for work in your museum.
CHENG HO MUSEUMA chinese painting inside the museum
Old traditional HOKKIEN ASSOCIATIONMust be, damn it cannot recollect so many things and the
fault is I don' know much about "ser" "woo" "liu" (4,5,6).
Much help from my mandarin-literate friends needed here.

JULY '08 FAMILYFrom L-R: Sean Lon, Jen-li, Mrs yourstruely, Sean Bein

July '08-JONKER STREETHaving lunch at this chicken 'rice ball' restaurant. You have to
to get a seat inside. It's packed! The setting are of timbers and
decorative woodcrafts very much chinese in nature with colours
like red, black, gold, green etc. Sean Bein is not in the picture as
he is the cameraman at this moment. The food is not my kinda'.
This is the type of "JUNK" (or is there an appropriate name, history is the subject that I studied as a student but got confused later on-how not when the pupils history texts are different every year) that the seafaring admiral mounts on.
Incidentally, I have the same name as the historic figure, Admiral CHENG HO. I was at the museum and was told that at this very place, the admiral stopped by six times!
JONKER STREET was just on the next lane, and I was about to buy a small chinese signboard with the chinese character of "CHENG HO" -a bit pricey at $140, so next time maybe. Hello my friends, I mentioned this because those were the only mandarin words that caught my eyes. How can a chinese not know his mother tongue? In my case, I recognised the only two mandarin words that happens to be my name. Not forgetting, there is another word that I know, it is my surname. What a rotten chinese I am!

THE CARTOONIST
Most prefer writing to drawing. Here I am, an odd one-a cartoonist. First taken an interest in cartooning on stocks (stocksmarket cartoons) in 1985, some twenty years ago. Of course my interests in cartooning goes as far back as 1974
